Grace and I have decided to go on a weekend getaway at the beginning of the new year instead of spending money on Christmas presents for each other. I am very excited at the thought of getting away for a weekend, but we are struggling with ideas. So far we've come up with Atlantic City (never been, and would love to, and Grace thinks it's amazing), but little else.
What's a nice weekend trip that won't break the bank?
We're kind of stumped.

What about Times Square to watch the ball drop on New Year's? You could have a New Year's Rockin' Eve!
That's actually a good idea, except we have to plan it after the New Year, because Grace is already taking time off for Christmas, and it'd be bad taking days off so close together. We're shooting for a weekend date, too.
