If we can't have the actual wall, this really is the next best thing. I can't wait for the game Saturday.
Sam Young is my favorite Pitt player because he is dominant defensively. Levance Fields is their other top player. Pitt has been to the Big East Finals 6 of the past 7 years, but only won two of those. They regularly get to the 2nd round or Sweet 16 but have yet to crack that barrier in recent years. Too bad we're facing them in the 2nd round. Their student section is the Oakland Zoo - no idea why.
Free throw shooting is normally a weakness; in the Big East Final against Georgetown, they didn't have a player make both free throws until the end of the game. They still won by a big margin. Against Oral Roberts today they shot 10-13.
It's going to be a very tough game. Pitt has to be the one getting into foul trouble this time. State can't let 5 players score in double figures like Oral Roberts did today. More than anything else, Neitzel HAS to show up with one of those 25 point performances.
