Rucker

This.

Like many, I'm shocked he's reinstated so quickly. Although I'm not close to the situation as Dantonio insists, from an outsiders perspective it does seem like Dantonio has gone against his zero-tolerance policy.

What I would like to see is Rucker in uniform this weekend on the sideline mentoring Dennard. Having to watch such an important game from the sideline and not be able to participate would be a fitting end to his punishment.

We'll see though. I have to admit, when I heard about the decision, I was a tad embarrassed by it as an MSU alum and supporter.

I agree that it is disingenuous for Dantonio to spin his "zero-tolerance" policy to say that doesn't mean they would be kicked off the team if they had another violation. One of the Free Press writers implied that putting the decision to play in Rucker's hands was a masked way of saying "look, he learned his lesson!" if Rucker selectively sat out. I wonder if Dantonio's response would be different if our opponent was Minnesota rather than Iowa. I also don't think it is fair to say "the Unity Council agreed with the decision". When would players ever vote to keep one of their own out of the biggest game of the decade??? I was disappointed by his decision as well. Hopefully it won't be a distraction.
