And We're Back In Business!

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=5099577

Not only is Summers back in the fold, but he's saying ALL the right things:

~"I've got dreams of playing in the NBA, but I would rather win a national championship and graduate first," Summers said in a telephone interview. "I want to accomplish all those dreams instead of just one."

~"We want to follow the same path Mateen and Morris did," Summers said.

~"I want to win a third Big Ten title, get to the Final Four for the third time and win a national championship," Summers said. "We can put our group down as one of the best in Michigan State history and make our own footprints in the sand."

I can't wait for fall.

Nice. We should have a pretty good team next year.

When was the last time a team made three consecutive final fours? That would be pretty impressive...

Well, Kevin, the answer is actually sooner than you may think. We did in 1999, 2000, 2001, but UCLA did it 2006-2008.

You have to think we're going to be ranked preseason #1, right?? Duke is losing 3 of its top 6 scorers to graduation ans possibly Singler as well. Kansas is losing a lot of guys, Kentucky is losing EVERYONE. I don't see who else you rank higher.

Haha, OK maybe not so impressive...

Duke should be #1. They are losing Scheyer, and maybe Singler, but they are bringing in an NBA-ready guy in Kyrie Irving and have Seth Curry coming off his redshirt year, plus the Plumlee brothers. And Nolan Smith, too! As defending champs, they get the nod at #1, especially if Singler comes back.

My preseason top-5:
1.Duke
2.Michigan State
3.Purdue (assuming they all return)
4.Ohio State
5.Butler (if Hayward stays)
6.Pittsburgh
7.Memphis
8.Florida
9.North Carolina
10.Kentucky

And obviously by top-5, I meant top-10.
