I checked ESPN.com this morning and they had my all-time favorite "front page" headline: Deeeeeetroit. Included were pictures of the Red Wings, Pistons, and Tigers celebrating.
It was a wonderful day for Detroit, and I wish everyday had a boxscore like lastnight's for the powers that be:
Detroit Tigers 8, New York Yankees 4- First sweep of the Yankees in the Bronx since 66'.
Detroit Pistons 100, Philadelphia 76ers 77- Buh-bye. Rip Hamilton 24 points, Chauncey 20.
Detroit Red Wings 8, Colorado 2- Done and done. How nuts is Franzen right now?
Beautiful.

I was going to make the same post. You beat me to it!
Yesterday was a good day to be a fan of Detroit sports.
8-2 Red Wings. That's the kind of domination I wanted. I'm very happy.
I enjoyed the Deeeeetroit day as well. I am most excited about the Redwings - they are dominant. They control the game SO MUCH through puck possession. This postseason has been great - a Flyers/Penguins East Final and a Penguins/Wings Final is EXACTLY what the NHL needs to get back into the national spotlight.
I am glad the Tigers are back on track. Only one team is coming out of our division, so it's going to be tough. I think the thing that has helped us the most from a pitching standpoint is the surprising play of Galarraga. The rest of our starting rotation hasn't lived up to their potential.
Pistons... meh.
