Ridiculously happy with the effort we put forth against USC. Walton was more than huge. The big men all played well, and Summers and Allen were dynamite from the outside. I seriously could not have asked for more (okay, perhaps a few less turnovers...and for Suton to stay out of foul trouble...and maybe for Raymar to actually show up to the game...). USC was a good team and had a lot of mismatches on the floor, but we more than held our own and played solid Spartan basketball. That's a credit to you and your staff, Mr. Izzo.
Up next: Kansas. Rock-Chalk-Jay...ah shut the fuck up.

Friday, approx 9:30 tip, incase you hadn't heard...
I was extremely happy too. Goran, Green and the rest shut Taj Gibson down. I want to see Kalin Lucas score more, but I know he had a tough match up. All credit in the world goes to Walton for putting them on his back on offense. I think USC was more like a 6 seed than a 10. I am a little nervous about having to beat Kansas again. What is with the late Friday tip offs? At least it's not 12pm.
Happy with the effort, not so happy with the execution.
We played excellent defense, but we were sloppy on offense. We had way too many careless passes, and just overall, too many bad turnovers. That's been our achille's heel all season, and although it didn't cost us against USC thanks to Walton stepping up huge, (and Summers having a big impact as well) we cannot win the championship like that.
But I am more confident that we will win against Kansas than I was against USC. It will still be a tough game, no doubt, but I like the fact that we have already beaten them.
