The song is called "Symphonies" by Dan Black (a UK artist).
"Gimme, gimme, symphonies
Gimme more than the life I see
Score rise up
Angels play
Let my loneliness get blown away
Gimme, gimme, symphonies
Gimme more than the life I see"
Black also did a cover of Notorious BIG's "Hypnotize". I know a lot of covers can be (and are) awful, but I always appreciate an artist's spin on a fellow artists popular song. What's different and kind of neat with Black is that he uses the music from his own song, "Symphonies", to create the cover of Biggie's song. I don't think I've ever heard a cover song where the artist doing the covering uses the music from one of his own songs as the background. Pretty cool...to me.

I found that hilarious...I'm not sure I was supposed to...
What did you find hillarious? The cover?
Yes
I suppose a skinny white guy from England singing a slowed down version of a black hardcore rapper is rather funny. Ben Folds did a cover of "Bitches Ain't Shit". That was...different.
Did you like it?
There are three types of people when it comes to cover songs:
1)People who hate covers just because they're covers. These people think that all covers cheapen the original.
2)The some are good, some are bad people. They don't love or hate covers, but their enjoyment of a cover song depends on how much they liked the original. If they weren't huge fans of the original, they might like the cover. These people also can identify a poorly made cover by how awful it sounds.
3)The appreciative people. Good or bad, a cover song should be viewed as an honor to the original artist. Immitation is the highest form of flattery. These people appreciate the different ways a song is portrayed.
I think I'm appreciate when it comes to cover songs, and Grace is in the "some good, some bad" category. I can't think of a cover song I truly dislike...
I thought it was funny, so I liked it terms of entertainment value. But I probably won't listen to it again.
I usally don't like covers. There are a few exceptions, but generally I like the first way I hear a song the best. (it's the same with acoustic versions of songs, even if they're by the same artist) Once I have a song in my mind as going a certain way, it sounds wrong to my ear when it's done differently.
I don't hate covers. If I hear the cover version first I will probably prefer it to the original! But of the three groups you mentioned, I would say I'm closer to the first group than the other two.

"Sometimes, you get the feeling that maybe the term “douchebag” is dramatically overused. Then, you remember that Fred Durst exists." Haha, good stuff.
I'll admit it, I could not stand 'Scissor Sisters' version of "Comfortably Numb". Wow that was painfully awful, and not just because it was such a poor cover, it just literally sucked musically.
Ummm and I liked the Miley cover. Shhh don't tell, I gotta rep to keep.
Wait...I thought that liking the same things as a 12 year-old girl was already your "rep?"
Name one other thing that both a 12 year old girl and I like. One thing!
Haha, I don't know. The Notebook? Specialized Shampoos? Baby-talking to cats?
What did you think your rep was? Maybe more in the 13-15 year old girl range?
Hey now...maybe 5-10 years ago it was in that range, but dammit, I'm a fully grown woman now!!!
Hmmm...
That felt weird to type.
Alright, alright, you're a full-grown woman. I apologize. Don't get all PMS-y.
